Unhappy Severe Neck Pain

Well today has been one of the worst days ever I have been hurting all day and not getting relief from pain meds or even taking a hot bath heating pad either ..... I just don,t know what else I can do.....please help.....

Have you tried ice on the neck? Use it for 20 minutes every 2 hours. It usually helps me. And if you have a soft collar, wear that. I swear by mine. After I've put it on for awhile, it usually settles the neck down and eases the pain. Maybe if you got one and tried it, it will help you too! Just thought I'd mention it.

Hi! I do basically the same moves that Leesa is talking about. I've never been much for applying a heating pad to my neck; I visualize this as overheating an already hot area. I never use the soft collar anymore, I go with the simple basic starter collar. After ice, I lie flat on my back with a pillow under the shoulder blades and just flex the neck back slightly for 40 minutes or so. usually feel a bit better after that..
