Sorry about the pain and medical reaction

#1 - VERY IMPORTANT - you are not crazy; you are in severe pain. Check some of the recommendations above. My RSD in in my right leg so when I remember I take the shower hose and run hot water on my leg. Am taking Hydrocodone, Gralise, and the Butrans patch. A couple of years ago I had a great summer but this past year I have had a total of 3 days where pain level was 0-1; usually 4-6 and yesterday was 8-9 (that's when I feel like I just want to scream and scream). Try to figure out your triggers, I know changes to below freezing weather, barometric changes, and stress are mine and unfortunately I have no control over these triggers. I've thought about but never done to the ER for my pain; afraid I'd get the reaction you got. I hope today is a better day for you and remember you're not crazy; the medical staff you dealt with are misinformed and untrained in chronic pain conditions.

Dear fuzz, don't be a captain obvious. That's what I call people who say things and u just want to say duh!!! I've dealt w my pain for over a decade now. I've devoted thousands of hours, time and money seeking treatment and answers. But what drives me crazy is when my boyfriend or family asks if I've tried ice or some obvious solution. Gee, why didn't I think of that??? Severe pain makes my patience disappear and makes me mean. I don't intend on it, but I can't help it either. My boyfriend always wants to help and that's great, but there's nothing he can do. I tell him all I need is someone to listen when I vent, give me a shoulder to cry on, and thats about it. Try not to tell her u understand her pain. Because unless u suffer chronic pain, no one gets it. That's why I love this forum. Everyone understands, its educational and supportive. Its been a game changer for me.
