Hi everyone,
I can't for the life of me remember the name of a cream or lotion that I've seen recommended on a number of the sites here a while back. Long story so I won't go into it, but am in the most excruciating pain in my shoulder and upper arm and am going to try to find something that penetrates deeper than the regular ones I've tried before. I think it was "somethingIce". I know mrsd had written about it. Sorry to be vague, but I just can't remember what it was called. thanks for any help, Lara |

That's it! Thankyou so much, curious. I'll go read the links now. Don't know if it's available here. If it sounds like something that'll help just a little I've got to try it. Been unbearable.

You might want to try this: get 100% pure peppermint oil (NOW is a good brand). Use it full strength but avoid getting in your eyes or your private parts. For my face I dilute it about 1/2 with any kind of oil (olive, corn oil, baby oil). I found the "tingle" lasts longer than Bio Freeze. Also, I found if I mix it with about 1/3 Jojoba oil it does penetrate and last longer. Janet

It's callled Mineral Ice.You can get it over the counter at CVS-Riteaid,etc..I use to work at a nursing home and we would rub it on the residents who had chronic arthritis.Twenty years later I'm using it on myself !

Both products work better than anything else on the market. You have two good suggestions here.

The methyl salicyclate built up in this girl's body and was not excreted normally by the kidneys. (this suggests perhaps Lupus or some other kidney malfunction). Biofreeze and many other topical agents only have menthol/and/or camphor in them. So since no methyl salicylate is present they are not the same, or worrisome.
