Need your opinion,,, I've been on most all long term pain control meds, but not Kadian. Looked it up, looks to me like Ms-Cotin with a twist... Had a crushed right leg, after many operations and- well you know the deal, 18yrs later this is where I'm at..
As you know also stress and manic depression has kicked my butt, they have me on tricycles for that?? So if you can I love some feed back... Thanks,, (Let It Be) |

It's morphine just like MS Contin, but at last much longer it is much smoother and that makes a huge difference. It's a 24 hour pill, but I take it twice a day and that seems to work better. It's very smooth and you don't know is wearing off and her and all the ups and downs of MS Contin. MS Contin only lasted six hours for me.
However, if morphine was not a good painkiller for you, then this might not be good for you. It's a better version. |

So far I found it takes much longer to become active, Ms Cotin is a faster acting drug. This takes three to four hours to get relief..
Hug, it's 4:49am still no sleep............... |

A friend of mine takes Kadian and has for 10+ years. She is very active, now retired, but active. She always has it in her system so she couldn't comment on the problem you mentioned regarding hrs. until relief.
My docs don't think it will help my peripheral neuropathy pain any more than the methadone I am on. Grrrrrrrrr. Good Luck! Nancy-H |

I am currently battling with my insurance to get Kadian.
BUT - the Kadian website sent me a card that pays up to $50 each month for 12 months on your copay. I thought I was just getting a $20 discount but they sent this card instead. If you are on this medication - check out the website for coupons - www.kadian.com I was told it would take 4-6 weeks, I received the card in 3 days. WOW>
