I have been having aggravated nerve pain since yesterday. I can't think of anything I did to cause this. I have bilateral brachial plexopathy and manage the best I can taking only 20 mg. Kadian every night! I feel a bad muscle spasm at the left clavicle and that is where the nerve pain is coming from, where I had 5 surgeries and the 4th left me with a staph infection from the OR leaving me worse off than before the surgeries! I get referred pain to the left side of my head! I can take Norco but the bottom line is nerve pain is the worst and being a chronic pain patient sucks! Does anyone else have this type of nerve pain? I do see my pain medicine physician tomorrow! Thanks for any input!

Hi Brachia,
I'm actually having an EMG done soon to see if all my pain is from the nerves, one Dr did say the herniated disc in my neck is pushing on a nerve and I can tell you it has brought me to my knees, I can tolerate pain but this....!!!! My pain is my neck/left shoulder radiating in to my left arm/fingers, and lower back/left leg pain. I sit with a neck collar on at night it is so painful. Can I ask what your pain Dr had to say? how is this treated? Been through 2 rounds of PT, Chiro/acupuncture, massage and traction, all made things worse. I feel for you, this hurts so much! |
