Default Botox for chronic face pain

I have suffered from severe, bilateral chronic face pain for several years. I am okay in the morning, but it gets worse as the day goes on. I have been to many doctors and have tried many meds, but nothing has worked. I live in CT were medical marijuana has now been approved. The law does not allow it for chronic pain, but I have learned that there is a way to get certified if chronic pain is your issue. I wanted to know if anyone has had any luck with using it? Also, has anyone tried Botox for facial pain. I am hesitant to give that a try because I don;t want to have a plastic looking face.

Hi Sonia,
Several yrs ago I had Botox in my neck and shoulder area for chronic pain/neuropathy and it helped my face pain a bit too. It helped enormously the first time and lasted many months. The second time it did nothing. I live in CT too. If you want the name of my pain doc who did the Botox let me know and I will PM you his info.

Saw your posts about medical MJ for Chronic pain...thanks.
D.
