Default Kadian 20 mg. daily stopped suddenly -withdrawal symtoms

Because my work comp company is no longer paying for my Kadian I have taken daily since 2000 my physician had me stop taking it suddenly! He had me try the generic but it kept me awake all night. So I stop that also. Now I have Norco to take every 4-6 hours. I am feeling the affects of stopping the Kadian after so many years and stopping it suddenly! I sure hope the cold chills, diarrhea, and other stuff will stop soon! I know now a patient should never stop a morphine derivative like Kadian suddenly! Just trying to help my fellow chronic pain patients mine due to a work injury.

Brachial6,

I am so sorry this has happened to you yet again.
I was hoping you and your attorney would find a way to settle this ongoing issue with your worker comp company.

Morphine withdrawal is no fun.

I hope your doctor will keep a watchful eye on you.

You are so sweet! Morphine withdrawal is a very tough situation for me after 15 years of being on it! My surgeon in 2000 wanted me to get a pain pump so hopefully I will survive this! Thank goodness Dr. W gave me Norco to get me though this time but it is still so tough! Thanks for caring! Love your post!
