Default Denied pain meds

Hello folks.I was once a daily reader of the forums, for various reasons.Today though,I come with problems regarding my pain meds.I live in south fl.been going to same pain mgt.Dr.since 1999 ,he was assigined thru workers comp.My Dr.keeps my pain levels down with Radio frequancy ablations, cortizone shots ,which is all guided under floroscope ,while i'm asleep.Been taking ms contin 30 mgs for yrs, along with oxycodone 15 mg every 4-6 hrs. Today I get a notice from CVS,not filling any controlled meds from YOUR DR. MyDr.is not a pill mill runner, teaches anastelogoy and pain mgt along with running his pain mgt clinic.I happen to live down in the Keys,NO Pain mgt here,my dr knows my case ,yet, someone in CVS pharmacy ,oh,I also mail order ,as was advised by local CVS 2 yrs ago. Now,I almost out of meds,my scripts are running back thru the postal servive, and I have been told by CVS corporate office NO CVS WILL FILL YOUR SCRIPTS ,because CVS has issue with your Dr.Now,does ANYONE have a mail order company you can advise me to use.I have medicare part D ,at least 12 yrs on controlled meds ,and now this,SUDDENLY.My other concern,if I cant get filled, then I withdrawl, then what.I have NO guidance here.Appreciate your replies. Can an actual person at the corporate office help you, if not can they suggest other avenues to get your meds?
Or call dr and ask where to go for meds?

Did you do a search on your dr to find if there are some legal issues happening, or an investigation of some sort?
This is something they don't announce I'm sure..
Your state website should have medical board /sanctions etc listed for drs..

It might be good to find out exactly what the problem is , in case other pharmacies won't fill his Rx's also.. Then best to find a new dr...asap..

Oh dear, backless! I'm so sorry this is happening to you! I hate how those of us in pain have to live in constant terror that they will take away our only comfort at any moment. With all this frenzy lately with the overdose epidemic, I worry all the time that they will clamp down so hard that none of us will ever receive any relief again.

I don't have any good advice for you, but I hope that you can get this worked out one way or another. At least know that there are people here who get it.

I think anybody who stops abruptly is subjected to such things to happen such as a heart attack
If you body cannot handle the withdrawals I would go to the hospital
Be careful
Pay attention to your body
Concerned

I had a friend drive me the 85 miles from my home in the Fl. Keys to my Dr.office in Miami. This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks I had to impose ,because CVS CAREMARK decided to BLOCK MY DR. THANKFULLY I have a true friend that helped me out.Pain Dr.told me it is all a CVS attitude thing to his dispensing so many perscriptions of controlled meds. YEP,duh,he is a pain mangt.Dr. and that is the kind of med CHRONIC PAIN patients NEED.So,the ,HOPEFUL?? answer is a company in Pennsylvania,PharmBlue. They are a mail order company, that my Dr.mails the scripts to,and they will ten deliver to me via UPS requiring a signiture, which is fine by me.I ust hope and pray this puts an end to the constant issues regarding me getting meds.FYI,I for yrs.had my scripts filled locally by CVS. Then the store started ith the BULL**** we are out of stock. After many calls, they suddenly had supply. Then a while after that,I was told, they couldnt fill my scripts cause my Dr.was out of county.Well, there are ZERO pain mgt.Dr.s where I live,AND Workers Comp .16 yrs ago put my Dr.and me together.I was told to fill scripts near Dr. CVS told me ,nope, your from out of town??? REALLY??Once again,I was able to resolve that prob.calling Corporate CVS in Rhode Island( very hard these days to get a number to do that). That always takes hrs.Imagine a weak ,poor, person unable to fight on the phone for hrs. What kills me ,some person with an attitude can make the call whether you get meds or not.Anyway folks,I will inform in a couple days as to how the new perscription pharmacy works out. Thanks ,and all ,be well as you can .
