Default Hi, Pono...

It's nice to meet you. I really love the title of your post, and look forward to checking out the info you've provided in the links. I really believe it could be very helpful and maybe even therapeutic for members on this post to maybe have a serious discussion on pain. Their perceptions of it. What it really does to their lives. There are so many here who have such wonderfully intuitive ideas on pain, as well as their knowledge of facts, figures, etc.

I've never had a diagnosis for my condition, so for a very long time I made it my personal focus to learn as much as I could about the medical science of pain. The physical processes involved, short and long term reactions of the body and mind...you name it. I made myself an expert.

I've always had a strong feeling that pain, in one form or another, is the one poison which every member here is connected by. I don't know anything at all about MLS, am only partially familiar with cancer...etc, etc, etc. But who here doesn't live with pain? And because of that, I can sit and speak with someone who suffers from Lou Gehrig's Disease, and relate in so many ways with what they are saying. How it affects them.

Anyway, I hope that a lot of people will bother to get involved in this post you have started. I know I'll be checking it out often. Thank you again for beginning it!

Sincerely,
Idealist
