Hi , just a quick post here, I'm currently on morphine er (100 mg day ) (Gabapentin 1200 ) and still vey fatigued after lowering this dose, thing is I do drink a lot of caffeine + energy type drinks thinking this will cure some of the morphine drowsiness, it's not going the way I think though, I am totally drained during the day and awake half the night, is caffeine- red bull type causing more fatigue , I know they are not good for you but . . . I'm worried if I don't drink them I'm going to be worse off, any advice or experience . Thanks.

Sounds like you're creating adrenal fatigue..drinking a lot of coffee/caffeine and the energy drinks also drain the adrenals.

Hi Baddog
I am unsure about adrenal fatigue. You might find this link (and links therein) helpful in deciding for yourself whether or not it exists; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrenal_fatigue. As far as possible interactions between caffeine, morphine and Gabapentin are concerned, the "Interactions Checker" at http://www.drugs.com/pro/ is a good place to start.
