Default SCS Spinal Cord Stimulator

Hi Everyone!
I am hoping to have a Spinal Cord Stimulator in the next few weeks but I'm really struggling to find out any information on what it is actually like to have one fitted ie can you just get up and get on with life as normal straight away (but hopefully be in less pain), does it take a few days or are you flat on your back for a week / two weeks / six weeks?
I would be really grateful for any information on this. I am trying to plan the next few months as my Mum is really ill but I don't know what I will or will not be able to do...
Thank you!

Hi Hope Star,,

As well as asking here on Chronic Pain, I wanted to let you know that there is a dedicated forum for

SCS & Pain Pumps Forum

Even if you don't get immediate replies, you might find the information there helpful to you.
