Hi Jennifer ,

I’m sorry you have this pain. . I have not had shingles but I have allodynia from an accident I had . My skin stings me on my affected areas with any materials on it or gliding on it . This pain drives me nuts!
It’s a hard pain for doctors to treat or to respond to conventional medications .
I wanted to share a cream one of my doctors gave me with capsaicin , marcaine and ketamine . Unfortunately the ketamine was not able to continue to be in it due to insurance. This cream has been a saving grace ! It temporarily helps this pain . I put it on several times a day . I hope your doctor will consider prescribing it to you .
Other than that I wish I had more help for you .
I hope you feel better.
xo
