Default Gabapentin

My personal experience:-
For OA and small prolapses in cervical spine and lumbar spine, with nerve pain in hand/forearm and not sleeping at all, I was prescribed Gabapentin 300mg ( also paracetamol and ibuprofen and TENS machine) This dose was too high for me to start on. Hallucinating zombies by my bed!
Dropped it down to 100mg. Was supposed to be x3 per day but found difficulty in concentrating so tended to take 100mg on waking then 100mg bedtime. Bear in mind that this is a really low dose.
I felt if I took it during the day I could not focus on task, e.g. count money and was a bit forgetful.
It did help me sleep through the night which was really good.
I switched to pregabalin to see if any difference. I feel I am thinking much more clearly but 25mg x 4 per day wears off at 6hrs like a sledgehammer, so not sleeping more than 6hrs and painful waking up.
The pregabalin is not getting rid of all nerve pain at night but wary of increasing dose. I am now trialling acupuncture so trying to cut down on paracetamol and ibuprofen.

I voted NO, I've seen a friend take these drugs and the side effects, good grief.

Work with Topricin homeopathic lotion and it does wonders....I get best price on Amazon and buy 8 oz bottle at a time.

Also, look at homeopathics and neuropathy links...there are remedies out there to work with.

It certainly helps a lot with neuropathy but the side effects are horrendous, weight gain, no memory, can't concentrate, the list goes on and on. I was up to 600mg of Lyrica, now at 225mg.
