I met the monster(sciatic nerve pain) about a year ago. I haven't
ever cryed out in pain before. I've given birth to four babies and not once did I scream out. Not until I met the monster. I remember being in the E.R. and when they tryed to move me, I grabbed on to the nurse and yelled out a good one. They admitted me ( after I apoligised to the nurse.) Not long after this I fell and broke my pelvis. Actually my two blind Golen Retrievers ran in to me from behind. They were just playing, but they both weigh over one hundred lbs. Anyway that wasn't fun. So with the sciatic pain calmed down, the pelvis starting to mend, I started limping. When I evaluated the situation, I realized that One leg was actually shorter than the other. No wonder I was limping. When my next Doctors visit came around I told him about this. He said that the sciatic pain had nothing to do with the leg discrepancy. I felt that it did, but its hard to argue with a Doctor who thinks he is always right. I then went to a Doctor for Physical Medicine & Rehabilition. After examination, he told me that I was two inches shorter on my right side ( or two inches longer on the left side.)The situation now is having shoes made to correct the difference. My back is thrown off because of the imbalance so we are going to work on that with physical therapy. One problem is that I have a bloodclot in that leg. The bloodclot is there because of a major surgery that I had last January. I spent 2 wks. in the hospital and came home very weak. A few days later I was back in the hospital with Influenza B. It hit my respiratory system so my oxygen level was in the 80s. You just don't feel like getting up a lot and moving around . That is really an important factor to prevent bloodclots and pneaumonia. Well guess what, I got pneaumonia too. When I had my surgery I stopped breathing twice and went to ICU on the vent. Thats what started the rest of the crap. I felt that if I had any luck, it was bad luck. This leg thing really has me bugged. I just feel like the length thing is connected to the sciatic nerve problem connected to the sciatic nerve problem. |
