Default My body is beating itself up. What gives?

Lately my body has just been beating itself up. I mean I am in soooo much pain. Not localized pain either, it is pain all over. The weird thing is I am getting bruises where I don't remember hitting or running into things. I have spent most of this week in bed, not sleeping, just too exhausted to get up. Then Tuesday and Wednesday (for the first time in awhile) I had a migraine which drained even more energy. I was able to get out of bed this afternoon around 4:00pm EST. But my body is still hurting. I have been dx with Fibro since 2001(?) CFS in 1997 have been in limbo land for MS since 2004, but they are doing a MRI of the spine which they have never done on August 9 and then EP's on 8/24.

I was just wondering if anyone has had this annoying body aching other than the flu. This is worse than the flu. Before this I haven't been able to sleep and even during this I have just been exhausted and have only gotten an hour here and there of sleep. Can any one help me?

Thanks in advance.

Pain will do that to you. Some of your medications may cause you to bruise easily as well.
What have you been dx'd with?

Default Pain not going away...

Called dr. today, he gave me some Vicodin, but I haven't used any yet. Waiting until I go to bed here in a bit. But I am guessing it won't help.

One thing I have noticed is that it is more prominent on the left side. The right side has some pain, but not in as many places. My left side is in complete pain from neck to bottom of feet (feeling as if the bottoms of feet are on fire). The rest of the left side is just complete pain. My rib area feels like I have broken all by ribs, my arms (both sides) feel like I have benched press 150lbs and my legs (both sides) feel like I have walked for days. WHAT GIVES?

I have been dx with Fibro, CFS, RLS, Degenerative Disc Disorder, Major Depression, PTSD, Periphial Neuropathy, Probable MS, NES, Anxiety Disorder, etc (which means I can't think of the rest...lol

Please if anyone else has any suggestions, advice, or comments, let me know.

Medicines I am on:

Topamax 200mg
Lamictal 100mg
Verapmil 480mg
Cymbalta 120mg
Diazepam 20mg

Vitamins

Migri-Eaze (for migraines)
Vit. B-6
Vit B-12
Vit. D
Vit. E
Ginko
Multivitamin

Thanks in advance...

Missy

Default Iron Levels...

Last blood test showed normal iron levels. It was done two months ago. I have a copy and it is smack dab in the middle of normalcy.

Any other thoughts?

Hi Missy,

((((((((Missy))))))))

I'm so sorry to hear that you are in all that pain. It's horrible when it's like that.

What I used to find, when I was low on B12, is that I wouldn't remember bumping into things, either, but I'd have all these black and blue marks.

Two things help, one is more B12, and the other is vitamin C... the C sort of strengthens tissue.

When I looked at your list of vitamins, I didn't see magnesium... do you take that at all? It can help a lot with headaches and other pain.

I'm sorry, I'm fading. I'd like to write more, but I have to go make some coffee... otherwise I'm not going to have any concentration in a moment.

Also, I'd be interested in knowing whether you are taking cyanocobalamin for your B12, or Methylcobalamin... and how much.

I needed a LOT before I had really significant reduction in pain.

((((((((Missy))))))))))

(what I love, is that I did, eventually, have SIGNIFICANT reduction in pain.)

Oh, darn ... see, I forgot... I read an article with some new research that talks about how our bodies need a certain amino acid to restore... some nerve I think it was... So I started having amino acids in my coffee, and that corresponded with a reduction in back pain.

Hi Missy
I'm visiting from the MS forum and have such pain on the right side head to toe. Left side is less intense. My hands are the worst, and feet burn all the time. I was given viccadin by old neuro for the worst pain. I've found that 1/2 a tablet takes the edge off without putting me to sleep. It took me a couple weeks to work through the dizzy/nausea stuff, but I am highly sensitive to meds.

I'm out and my new neuro won't prescribe. I'm getting fed up with this pain and miss the viccodin. It just seems to make my brain less aware of the pain. I feel calmer and like I can do things. I know I'm in pain but it doesn't seem to register.

I'm not a doctor but just want to share my experiences. I hope you find some relief soon.

CD
Doc is sending notes to PCP and then I will make an appt and see if he can prescribe. I only want 1/2 tab a day. Fingers crossed.

I've been lurking over there reading about b12 and googling. I'm not convinced, but still looking for answers.

I've realized the pain is part of my life and I need to make the best of it and not let it control me.

((((((Beth)))))))

I have a really hard time rising above pain. (thankfully I don't have it as much as I did for a couple years)

I sure hope he prescribes for you. I think just having something to rely on helps. I used to feel that way about Dalmane when I used to always need something to sleep.

I know, it's hard to be convinced about a vitamin. Plus they don't work as quickly as drugs.
