Hi. I usually post on the RSD forum but am seeking some more generalized expertise on this one.

A friend of mine desperately needs a good pain doc. in San Francisco - Palo Alto is too far down the road - but when I was given a name by my own pain specialist, and called my friend back, I was told that the guy I had pulled was known as a joke in the local pain community ("The Pump Doctor") and that he put 95% of his patients on the pump and . . . .

Bottom line, if anyone has any decent referrals, either post them here or drop me a PM.

I don't know of anyone in SF, but over the bridge in Fremont there is a fabulous Pain Management Doctor, Marilee Schuchard. I have been seeing her for 12+ years and I couldn't ask for anyone better.
