you know I keep reading everywhere about these docs giving this medication to their patients. I don't think anyone but a psychiatrist should be able to prescribe this. That was the original intention. Now every Tom, ****, and Harry with a medical license can write a scrip for this. Very negligent, I will be glad when my newer doc remembers that my pdoc already tried this and stop asking me about it.

I totally agree about Cymbalta...it does nothing and what it does do is not helpful.

I was put on this evil drug in December...it help me with pain but I was a zombie...I didn't give a darn about anything...I was so anxious that I had to take a xanax to calm me...I would just star into space most of the day...I would rather be in pain than to be on that drug!!!

Hi Tammy. I was put on Cymbalta too. It didn't take the pain away. All it did was make me angry. I had so much rage in me. I have never been like that. I felt rude and very short tempered. I immediately went off it and when never use it again

I am diagnosed as being Bipolar. I have been taking Cymbalta for several months. This combined with my other meds seems to be working fine for me.

I sure wish I had seen this thread a lot sooner! I had a pain specialist put me on Cymbalta just several weeks ago, and already I'm beginning to suffer from many of the side effects I've read about on here. I think it's time to stop using this drug.

I thought that I had responded to this thread before........but I guess not !

I had good results from Cymbalta......it didn't make the pain totally go away, but it certainly helped.

I think we should be careful about saying any medication is totally evil or should not be prescribed. Some meds are going to work for some of us and not for others. I do think it is helpful to be as knowledgable as posssible about any meds that we take. Knowing about possible side effects, so we can be alert for them and report to our doc ASAP is important.............but just because some people have a horrible reaction to a med doesn't mean everyone else will too. I can't take Penicillin, but it has saved millions of lives worldwide
