Default nerve blocks

hi there i have had pain in my heel and ankle for nearly two years and walk with a stick.I worked in a childrens nursery for fourteen years and have a diploma in childcare but unfortunately i had to give it up due to the pain i was in.I had a tendon and nerve release last year which has left me with nerve damage .I had a nerve block in hospital two days ago and have felt pretty awful since and wondered is there anyone else out there who has experienced a guanethidine nerve block. They gave me some sedation but it didnt kick in until after i had come out of the theatre,so i would be gratefull to hear from anyone who has had this experience. To make matters worse i am carer to my husband who has had post concussion syndrome and my son who is disabled so being disabled myself really doesnt help. look forward to your replies ali

Alisden - I'm not sure if I had the same type of block you did, but mine made me feel pretty junky for about a day or more. I would get splitting headaches, nausea, etc. The block itself was a corticosteroid and something like lidocaine I think. I hope you're feeling better by now!
