Default Cavernous Angioma and chronic pain

Hi,

In 2006 my Dad was diagnosed with a cavernous angioma in his brain stem. He had surgery to remove it shortly after. Unfortunately he has experienced many complications including a stoke during surgery, infection of his skull bone and seizures.

4 years later he is in constant chronic pain and is almost never able to leave to house. He is one of the most positive ppl i know and deserves more than this. It seems he has tried almost anything the doctors suggest to him including, dilaudid, lyrica, acupuncture, botox, tegretol and the list goes on and on.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Default

Is it pain or immobility keeping him prisoner in the house ?

If it's pain.......Is his doctor aware ? Or is the doc not comfortable upping the meds ? Is your dad being too stoic in the doc's office saying he's managing the pain ? Is someone going to the visit with your dad and painting a picture of what dad's daily life is like ?
