I have used Miralax for about two years now so it does not work as fast for me. I also find that I am using more and more of it....But from my best recollection...I think it started to work within one to two hours after taking it...I put it in coffee or oatmeal and find that works best for me...They just prescribed another med to go along with Miralax for me....Zelnorm...I use this with the Miralax....
