Lightbulb Vitamin D levels and chronic pain...

Here is an interesting report on low Vit D patients having to use
higher doses of opiates:

http://psychcentral.com/news/2009/03...in-d/4903.html

Another reason to have this evaluated by your doctor.

Default Very Interesting

I have read with interest the article you referenced. My level was checked by my Rheumy and found to be >9 ! Needless to say, he sent me to the pharmacy tout suit for Vit. D 2000 iu bid. He said severe muscle pain can occur at this level.

I tend to slather myself in sunscreen because of the autoimmune nature of my illness. A problem.

I think that this may become a large issue with growing and legitimate concern of skin cancer.

I want to direct you to www.bacteriality.com for you all to see what some others are saying regarding taking high doses of D3.

And in all fairness, you should look at www.mercola.com. Dr Mercola has a different understanding of the D3 dosage issues.

Thank you for the information ljp0782. I had my levels rechecked after supplementation and they are now back to the normal range. I will have the levels checked periodically.
