Hummer, I know how you feel. I am a painter and the last year I've been unable to stand at my easel. I tried to sit but that is also uncomfortable.
But, guess what? I found something I can do leaning back in my recliner. I have been doing portraits in oil pencils. Everyone that sees them wants me to do them. This is so gratifying because I am making someone else smile. Now that, is what life is all about isn't it?

I'm a retired nursing prof. I've had 5 surgeries on my lumbar spine, and now have a titanium cage for stability. My condition is early onset spinal stenosis. (29 yrs. old, 1st.surgery)
Had the morphine pump for 5 years and it was removed when the battery ran down. I'm now using the duragesic patches.
