Frown Hello

This is the place I will be hanging around the most, I live with chronic Pain from a motorcycle accident that happened 10 years ago. I was given less then a 2% chance of living but with the help of God and Family prayers I made it thru! There are days I wonder if it was worth it? I broke both legs upper and lower and both arms upper and lower and I had a metal plate put in me to close the open book fracture of my pelvis and also I had a new hip put in.I punctured both lungs and also my stomach and crushed my spline (spelling)
I am sorry a head of time if I ask to many questions but I just need to know that I am not alone in my feelings and pain.

Wow...you are one amazing miracle! So great to hear your story. I wanted to welcome you to NeuroTalk and let you know there are a huge amount of folks here who are in pain in one way or another.

It will be great to get to know you! I too have suffered with chronic pain...mostly from a birth defect...Spina Bifida. I had my fith surgery on my back last year in October...wow has almost been a year!

I hope you can find some peace and fun and friends here. Explore around and join in where ever you like. My hubby has MS...23 years, in the MS forum they treat me as one of them. If you want to go over to the New Member Introduction forum you can let everyone know who you are and what's going on in your life and of course what has gone on....

You take care!!

Welcome Techman, I know what you mean about life being a mixed blessing. After 50+ years of pain, I am definitely worn down, but still have some time left to live. I needed to find people who could find a reason to live in spite of horrendous pain. That's where NeuroTalk is helpful.

Default Welcome

Dear Techman,

I hear you Techman. On my darkest days I wonder if it wouldn't have been better if I'd died in my accident. Then I look at my child and figure maybe I was spared for a reason.
Pain is my constant companion - but not my only one. I have family and friends who love me and now that I've found NeuroTalk I have people who really understand what I'm going through.
I've only been here a short time, but I've already discovered that NeuroTalk is a safe place. You can vent, cry or throw a tantrum worthy of an overtired two-year-old and you will receive nothing but support. The only thing these people won't let you do is give up.

Angry Thank you!

I am happy to have found this site, I now know I am not alone in what I feel in my body and mind. I am feeling not so good today due to the weather,Rain and humdity are not my friends. It feels like it is over a 100 degrees. The pain Meds and the pain make me sweat like I am a water faucet! It is very embrassing when I am around other people because it just pours out of my body and anything I touch becomes as wet as I am. People look at me like I am some sort of wild animal! I am sure most of you know what I am talking about.
I must take three to four showers a day. I would always sweat when I was in pain for as long as I can remember but the meds I take make it so bad that I am afraid to be in public. I just don't know what too do? Anybody have any thoughts on what to do to keep it as manageable as possible?
Once again Thank you for the warm welcome.
God Bless
