You might check it out. Keep asking questions, and keep searching for answers. There was nothing like this when I had my surgery. There is a wealth of information on Colloid Cysts on the internet.

I wish you the best, Dodi

Thank you! What is the Facebook page I would like to be a part of that!

Default After my 11 cm colloid cyst removal in 2011

Megan,

I had a colloid cyst removed in 2011. The one I had was rather large for this type of cyst. With that being said I was in the gym days after my release. Keep in mind the cyst made me violently ill and I spent 21 days in the hospital and ended up having to have two surgeries. I had a lot of pressure in my brain because the 11cm cyst acted as a cork between the ventricles and my head slowly filled with spinal fluid over time. So as you can imagine the relief I felt when it was gone.

My only problem I'm dealing with now is depression and moodiness. But that could be any number of things.

Can you please tell me how long it was between the time they found it and when you had it removed?

I was told yesterday morning that I have a 3-4 cm colloid cyst, but I don't know anything else.

Thank you,
AndieB
