Default Is there any way to edit thread titles on this board?

I've just realised that the thread I made asking whether we could have a Cerebral Palsy or Cerebral Palsy/movement disorders forum could have been confused with Chronic Pain or anything else that CP stands for (as that's what I used in the title) - is there any way of changing the title to read 'Cerebral Palsy' instead of CP?

Thanks,
Swift

hi swift - I know what you mean (I think). If you click on edit your post and then click on the go advanced button down on the right you should be able to edit your title.

I've tried it before and it has worked and other times, not. Maybe it's time frame afterward that makes the difference. I'll try a test somewhere and get back to you

yup I just tested in in Social Chat (We need a test forum on here!) and it works as I described above.

I don't know what the time frame for editing a title is, but it's probably fairly short. Like when you need to edit a post you just made for spelling..... if you do it right away, maybe up to a minute (?) it doesn't say "edited by dorry....". If you wait too long it picks up the edit.

I've changed titles before after that edit window timeframe and it will change the subject line in the post itself, but not on the main board viewing. That happened to me just yesterday and I did a

hi steve - on your completed posts you should see an edit button. you can click that and edit your post or the subject and click save.

if you don't see what you want to change after hitting the edit post button, you'll see a go advanced button.

click that one and you can edit the title. I don't know how long that edit title function is available though.

That will give you more options like delete an attachment, add one, add smilies, etc.
