Default ALS friends

Was diagnosed with ALS early '04 after experiencing symptoms for about 1-1/2 yrs. Am 62 yrs old, married and have a teenage daughter. Have been fortunate to be one of the few who have a slow progression. Interests include vintage motorcycles & cars, racing, novels, movies, rock & roll, graphic design & art.

Just saw the movie "Jenifer", which was about Jenifer Estess's experience with ALS & the foundation she & her sisters established.

Would like to hear from anyone.

Hi, Bill, and welcome! We're glad you're here. Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself.

I'm KD, and am an administrator here at NT. I'm 43 and the mother of two grown daughters. I'm currently raising my 4 yr old nephew and expecting my first grandchild. I live with Trigeminal Neuralgia. NT is a wonderful, caring community.

There's a forum for ALS here (but please use any and all forums you choose from social to depression...we have many): http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6 Please make yourself at home and I look forward to reading more from you soon!

KD

hello bill,

What type of vintage cars do you like?
We have some oldies { not restored yet }
54 Chrysler Crown Imperial, 53 New Yorker, 60 Imperial, 49 GMC PU & a 67 Ford PU.
But we drive 83 & 84 Volvo wagons- turbo w/intercoolers.
1 son truck pulls with his 74 Ford highboy 4x4- took 1st & 2nd every time so far.
We have a local 1/4 mi dirt track that have some good races all summer.

Default Welcome to the ALS/MND Registry

Welcome to the ALS/MND Registry
http://www.patientslikeme.com/registry
520+ pals from 38+ countries

This is the registry for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease, or ALS) patients. I originally started it as a mailing list and it is now being maintained on the PatientsLikeMe site. If you are a Person with ALS (PALS), you can add your name by signing up for a PatientsLikeMe account and filling out your profile.

I am excited about what we can do with the ALS/MND Registry at the new PatientsLikeMe it will be more then just a registry for pals, you can have you own detailed profile page. If you have any questions email PatientsLikeMe at support@patientslikeme.com. I think this is going to be great. It is a registry that has detailed information from the patients who want to share it. Plus you can come back as often as you want and update your info, so it is as current as possible, plus see what other pals are doing and how they are doing it, what they are taking.

You can help by passing this info on to other PALS.

Thanks,
Bobby Brannigan (PALS, diagnosed 1994)
