Just wondering. JD's post is time stamped 3:38 and it now 4:14. Your edit option is gone. What is the current time limit to edit? PDT

ncdude 09-25-2006 06:57 PM

Shotspine- I don't think that you will see an "edit" option for a post you did not write, no matter the time set. You only see it for the posts you make.

Good Point! Thank You Joe! Maybe if my brain worked better I would have figured that out myself. That's why I need these forums. Others help me THINK.

Thelma 09-25-2006 07:38 PM

there is no editing post on either of your posts as yet

Thelma 09-25-2006 07:42 PM

I have the edit button but when I tried to edit no deal

Doody 09-25-2006 07:49 PM

LOL! Now everyone will post to see if they can edit...so let's see...

Yup, I could edit.

I'd rather be able to edit whenever I want to. We can handle if someone comes in and edits something out I think. I'm thinking of editing something I posted a day ago, and I'd have to ask a mod to do it if that were in place now.

Alffe 09-25-2006 08:09 PM

:D What ja gonna edit Doody? Kin I read it first? :D

janster 09-25-2006 11:20 PM

I'm with you SS. Why do it yourself when you can pay others to do it for you. LOL :D :p

As per the community's wishes, editing and deleting of all old posts is now set to "forever," meaning you can edit and delete any of your old posts as much or as little as you'd like, indefinitely.

Thanks for making your opinions known!

John

Thank you so much...

DocJohn... but I think those reading this should check old posts...

This is not retroactive, is it? Any change starts with this permission. I noticed this when the change went from 15 minutes to 1.5 hrs. I assume it will be the same with the new limits?

Those of us who do information mostly (like moi) really appreciate this
generosity. I was willing to accept whatever was decided upon, but this is
the best for me. Also I think this has been an eloquent thread. All sides
well put!;)

Doc John,

Thank you for being fair about this and doing the poll. :)
