Here's a site listing side effects of various drugs commonly used for (but not restricted to) PMS. Some of them include tremors, seizures and irregular pulse:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract Here is a quote from a 1995 lecture by Anthony Komaroff on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: "Q. What do the little white spots on the MRI images mean? A. Without a brain biopsy of those little spots, and then looking at them under the microscope, there's no way of answering that question. But based on studies in animals, they could mean a small patch of inflammation, that could now be an old scar, or could be currently active. And that inflammation could be caused by a virus infection, or just by a non-infectious immune system attack on parts of the brain. Multiple Sclerosis for many years has been believed to result from an immune system attack on the cells that make what's called 'myelin', that wraps itself around the brain cells. That doesn't imply there's an infection going on, it could be what's called an auto-immune disease. It is also possible that the spots indicate an impairment of blood flow in very small blood vessels that led to a period when those vessels blocked off and scarred the part of the brain they would normally feed." |

Please consult with your Doctor as the probabilities are numerous and testing is required to prove any comment we could make here.
Don't worry till you have done so. Best of luck Thelma |

Sounds like s/he's been seeing doctors for six years, and has yet to find a doctor who can figure it out . Next stop... the "medical underground".. possibly for some fresh ideas? Of course nobody here can give a diagnosis, but we might be able to suggest some things to ask the doctor about that haven't been considered yet~
Good luck on your journey californiagrown. I hope you will eventually find some answers, and better yet, successful treatments. Cara

White spots on the brain are normally referred to as lesions, meaning "damage".
Lesions have SEVERAL causes, so they are generally looking at the size, shape, and location to try to understand them better. Quite often a Neurologist will analyze the MRI information, combined with your clinical history and other test results. Some of the causes of lesions are detailed in the following document: http://spinwarp.ucsd.edu/NeuroWeb/Text/br-840.htm Besides lesions, tremors and heart-racing, do you have any other symptoms? Do the symptoms get worse and/or better at any time? You might want to read the information in old threads that appear in the MS forum here. It's a long-shot, but certainly worth considering. Cherie

I have recently gone through a battery of tests to resolve tremors, gait disturbances, fatigue, speech problems, severe short term memory loss, and a few others. I finally did get in with a neurologist, who ordered MRI's, lumbar puncture, and more blood work. He found 2 small spots on the MRIs in an area that may relate to the tremors, as well as very low B12 levels. The LP did not come back positive for MS. I have taken 4 shots of B12 thusfar, and the speech problems and severe short term memory loss have gone away, but some of the others have not. He prescribed this medicine and that for the fatigue, and tremors, but with no underlying diagnosis. I sympathize with your frustration over not feeling better, and not getting the answers you need in order to take care of yourself. I am finally resigned to finding ways to help myself feel better about not knowing, but I struggle with it daily. I wish you the best, and can only suggest to keep going back to your physician, and manage your care by asking lots of questions!!!
