Default Your old posts at hasty pastry

thelma site:hastypastry.net

I went to this site that someone put up in another forum and there is a ton of posts there from me.

You can find yours as well by just putting your name where mine is and hitting.

the name you post with.

eg tortoise site hasty pastry .net

when the page comes up under each posting is the word cache hit it and lo and behold we have once more come to life.

Red face Hi Thelma...

are you talking about Google searches?

Or WebArchive?

I too, do not completely understand "where" you searched.

Help, please!

hi
if you just click the link you will likely get the error notice, but if you click cached then it should bring up the pages that have been "stored" on Google, like Thelma mentioned

also, no need for any www you just enter it exactly as Thelma posted but substitute your, or any other OBT username in place of hers

Common abbreviations - BrainTalk Communities Last edited by Wittesea : 02 - 23 - 2006 at 12 : 10 AM . Wittesea. View Public Profile. Send a private message to Wittesea. Send email to Wittesea ...
brain.hastypastry.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1030770 - 81k - Supplemental Result - Cached - Similar pages

The above is what the google search results look like...

See at the bottom the blue thing that says "cached" - clicking on that link will bring you to the google cache of the page so you can see your old posts. If you click on the main link (in this case where it says "common abbreviations") that will bring you to the BT error message.

This is what the cached page of my "common abbreviations" post looks like-
http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache...&ct=clnk&cd=18

for the google search of your posts, type the following
wittesea site:hastypastry.net
but replace the name "wittesea" with whatever your username at braintalk was.

If you are looking for a specific post of yours, you can refine the search by doing the following
wittesea "pain" site:hastypastry.net
This bring up a google search of my posts with the word "pain" in them. So replace my name with yours, and replace the word "pain" with whatever you are looking for.

But the main thing to remember is to click on the thing that says "cached" once you have your search results.

Hope that helps, but if you have any other questions or if you would like some assistance in finding your old posts, just let me know

Liz

I am only able to get to the first pages of the threads with the cached version.
This is how i got to it.

from another post about it -
**************************************
[finding {cached} old info from BT1
type this into a search engine {google , ect}
site:brain.hastypastry.net

behind .net - add your user name or any topic you want to search the old BT for-- click on the cached page link and you can find some of the old info

so some of it is still out there -
thanks to wittesea for posting that link and info in another thread.]
