Default Is NeuroTalk backed up?

CherMar- OlCS made a suggestion about our need to have a more in depth search capability. As long as we are making a wish list, I would really like to have some sort of archiving ability to avoid any form of a BrainTalk meltdown somewhere down the road.

My questions: Is V-Bulletin able to perform either or both of those? And, would it cause any problems on your end?

Thanks-
Rick

Hi Rick
Someone just alerted me to this.

The very best way to get these kinds of requests seen is to maybe either post them on the CFF Forum or send a PM to DocJohn, as he is in charge of the technical side of the site. I'll alert him to this post as well.

One thing I can assure you is that he does have everything backed up and archived and safe so no worries there.

re the search...we do have the advanced search feature (comes up as an option on regular search) and it is pretty good...is more needed than that?

Yes, NeuroTalk is backed up multiple times a week onto a secondary, separate hard drive on the server, and once a week off-site (in the cloud).

We've been running this site non-stop since 2006 and have not lost a single post during that time. Nor have we been offline longer than a few hours (while moving data to newer servers). Which is a far better track record than most online forums.
