Taken away and poof it goes deemed unworthy of all the effort put into it as it doesn't confirm with ????? opinion of what life liberty and freedom of speech really is.

Children must be protected at all costs.

Sounds like the governent eh what. This one will go too

Freedom for all except those who set up these sites then it is business still

YW BMW

I dont mind posting the answer here tho so all can know!

When a post or thread has to be deleted by a mod or admin from the forums for being in violation of the guidelines, it doesnt just go "poof" Thelma........

it gets moved to the Deleted Posts Admin Forum

Most just live there peacefully in the archives and are not looked at again.

However, if any issue were to arise as to why a post was deleted, it can be referred to as needed, or copied to the poster if required etc etc. This keeps a clear record of posts for the benefit of members and admin. If a removed post is ok to move back out again for any reason, then we can also do that.

Hope that explains it a bit better and shows that the mods and admin here at NeuroTalk are held VERY accountable for our actions, with all deleted posts kept in the archives.

as surely must have become clear here over this last year....the deletions of actual posts by members is FEW and far between and then really has to be clearly outside of guidleines
....the deleted posts forum contains mainly Nokia and Viagra spam...which I am sure the vast majority of members are very glad not to have on the boards!! ....

you are correct thelma. children should be protected. this is an open forum. anyone can read it. so when the porn crap gets posted..yes i will remove it.

do you think spammers posting nude pictures should be protected? we should allow their posts?

so you think lots of effort was put into those posts we remove?

bmw had deleted her own posts. she forgot. she has asked this question already and was answered.

bmw couldn't find her own posts that she hadn't deleted. she was told how to search for her posts by using her screenname. why she couldn't find them by searching the posts...i don't know. i found them both ways.

Yes, chemar explained it perfectly and the reasons for it.

I hope that helps, BMW?

Thelma,

Your perception of the removal process, and why, is not completely accurate.

A post/thread here never goes poof. It doesn't happen because the care AND concern of what was in it, as well as the energy put in it, is in place. If there's a way that one can be edited to put back out, it is. If the original poster would like it back to re-post absent the guideline violation, it's available. We also keep removals to be *accountable* for our actions to the rest of this team and the membership.

Freedom for all is right. Every member here has the freedom to choose to accept the guidelines created for this site and keep them in their posting, along with the many other freedoms (i.e. posting, refrain, participation in general). That said, members also enjoy the freedoms allowed them to expect to read posting that is within those same guidelines.

If anyone has further comments regarding the administrative process, please don't hesitate to PM me.

KD

I could have sworn that it was Alffe and me at the front of this group...

Clearly now I see Thelma right beside us.

I think everyone here is doing a great job.

Except, of course, for Mr. Who Moi who definitely has an ear pulling comin' to him.

Default I applaud the moderators here!

They have handled some sticky and disturbing issues in some corners of the boards with what I feel a great deal of tact and descretion.

I have never, EVER felt that concerns or particular issues and questions were not considered or discussed and then addressed carefully. I feel that in return moderator replies have reflected that respect we all need and get here in each and every post or PM.

While some of my posts have been removed, I understand the context of the board 'conversation' and the reasons for the removal. Something that is not always appreciated.

Thanks folks! You are super! - j
