Just updating that I heard from mrsD's dh that there is sadly no change. :(
But
she is no worse, so let's continue to pray and have hope that her condition may yet improve.

tkrik 08-06-2018 10:52 PM

Thanks for the update, Chemar! I will keep mrsD in my prayers!

Was thinking of MrsD today and missing her so much. I hope she knows how much she is missed and how many are pulling for her.

I'd love to be able to tell her that a genomics research group at Stanford University is interested in my situation and what I've learned from my genetic results. I'm being enrolled in a study there.

Mrs. D. How sad to learn of your illness I just came here today to get some of your wisdom because last week I suffered an eye stroke and lost vision in my left eye. I posted on a new thread hoping you would (or any other) would respond. I just learned that you also had a stroke. l most certainly will pray for you this evening because without your guidance over the years none of us would be able to function. That's how well thought of and loved you are. I hope it's not permanent and that you are on the road to recovery. You above all deserve a peaceful and a healthy life.

Wishing you the best.

Love, Melody

Thinking of you MrsD during this Christmas season and hoping you can feel the love being expressed in this thread. You are so very missed here and prayers are being lifted on your behalf every day.

beatle 12-12-2018 08:42 PM

Thank you for being there for us, Mrs D. It isn’t the same without you but you have taught us to seek answers to the often very active and puzzling symptoms that we struggle with each day. Without you, we would all be worse off and I know everyone here appreciates you very much. :grouphug:

Chemar 12-23-2018 04:14 PM

Thanks so much for all who are still posting messages for mrsD
Sadly there is still no change.
Her dh is passing on the messages and we just hope she is able to hear them and know just how appreciated and cared for she is by so many here.

mrsD, my thoughts are always with you.

My two cats continue to thrive.

I have a colony of Brush Turkeys on my land. The eggs are laid in a nest-mound which the male looks after.

Recently a couple of chicks emerged; they come round for food handouts. They approve of wholemeal bread. I enjoy watching them interact with the adults in the colony; "free and frank" exchanges of views about bread handouts often happen :).

Thinking of you often, Mrs D. I am so grateful for all of your support.

Dear MrsD,
Thinking of you and appreciating all the years of help and support you have given to all of us. I especially miss all the wonderful wildlife pictures you used to post. You are missed.

Sending love to you and your family from way over here.
I think of you often, especially when I'm out in my garden.
From time to time I also find myself relaying to family and friends all manner of knowledge that you taught me over the years.

I do miss our talks...

I'm so hoping that 2019 will bring the family of Mrs. D, and of course

Mrs. D, the lord knows what we all here are hoping for. And that our fondest wish is for you to get so much better. To return here to us one day. But most of all that you are able to return to that fantastic family of yours.
I know they are taking wonderful care of you. Just as you have always
done for them. So I just want to wish you all an wonderful, safe and
happy new year. May 2019 be the best it can be for you all.

Your post gave me an idea. Maybe we can all post pictures of out pets. And if we don't have pets then pictures of wildlife.....or other pets we know of. Anything to trigger familiar things for MrsD to look at. Maybe it will help....maybe it won't.....but it will be enjoyable for her to see nevertheless. I'll start with one of my pets.....a funny one of Tigger in his "tanning bed". He'd lay flat of his back in this tubular cat tree with his tummy in the sun. It had a cut out space on the side you can't see. All you can see are his toes and ears!

mrsD, here is a picture of my two cats, Blackberry and WaiWaiaa.

They are perched on the bucket which contains their cat litter.

I have friends on the Internet who send me links to the most hilarious cat videos. I think of you every time I receive one and know how the cat lover in you would like them. You will continue to be in my prayers as I pray for your recovery.

With much love and appreciation for all of the help you have given us. You are such a special person.

Everything everyone else says, but especially just that. I (we) miss you.

MrsD--

I haven't been on this forum for a long time, having become more involved in the Lyme world, since finding that the cause of my neuropathy. But all those years I lived on this board, I found your input regarding supplements to be incredibly helpful, sending me in a direction I had not previously explored.

I learned from you, and I have never forgotten how much your presence brought this community.

I hope your life gives you pleasure, despite your suffering, and that you take heart from knowing that you have touched so many lives.

XO

I am so shocked and saddened to come upon this post about my dear friend mrsD. We’ve been out of touch for a couple of years, but I came here today just to check in and say hi to her. She helped me for so many years (a decade at least) with her expertise on many subjects and we became pretty good friends in the process. My thoughts are with her and her family.

olsen 03-08-2019 11:23 PM

Mrs D thank you!

Hi Mrs. D, I am saddened to read that you suffered a stroke. I hope you are recovering and able to return to the things you love to do. I have not visited the forum much since Richard(D ick) passed away, so I did not know of your health problem. I so looked forward to your posts and responses. Sending you digital Hugs, Madelyn Levy (Olsen)

Hope all is well with you MrsD. You will be in my thoughts and prayers!😘💕💗💝

kiwi33 04-22-2019 05:13 AM

mrsD, I wondered if you might be interested in an update about my cats.

Recently they had their annual check-up and vaccinations. They hate their cat-cage; I got lots of bites and scratches, even with help from one of my neighbours, who drove me to the vets.

When we got there the vet showed me where the medical-grade disinfectant was and told me to use it liberally on my bites and scratches.

The check-ups were fine; their vital signs were all good. When they got home they spent a couple of days searching the house for cat-cages; they relaxed when they didn't find any.

Next year should be easier; the vet said that she will come to me (about 0.5 km) for their check-up.

As always, I think about you every day.

Dmom3005 04-23-2019 08:07 PM

Kiwi

I'm so glad the vet will come to you next year.

Any updates on Mrs. D?

Chemar 08-27-2019 06:50 AM

Sadly, no. Her condition remains unchanged :(
We miss her so very much.

Chemar 09-24-2019 06:33 PM

On a positive note.....
I had an update that mrsD's beloved kitties are doing well in the care of her dh, who also loves cats. I am sure they miss her - we all do! - but good to know they are ok.

:grouphug:

pinkynose 10-30-2019 03:38 PM

Who is pinkynose?

I couldn't figure out how to post a picture of my cat, the one and only Pinkynose.
However, if you look to the left you will see her picture. She graciously allowed me to use her name for purpose of this forum and sends her love along with mine to MrsD.

AnnieB3 03-18-2020 09:54 PM

Mrs. D, We miss you so much. In her honor . . . Quercetin (anti-inflammatory) and Lion's Mane mushroom powder (cognitive function) would be great for her.

I pray that she will recover.

Annie

What is the latest on Mrs. D. as of April, 2020?

Thanks!

David

Chemar 04-17-2020 10:38 AM

The last update from her dh was that there was still no change, and not expected to be one :Sob: and she remained in the longterm care facility.

I continue to pray for her. I do believe in miracles. Also praying for her safety during this pandemic

Snoopy 04-17-2020 11:11 AM
