Doc John Like your new photo?
It does bear a very uncanny resemblance to Alton Brown of Good Eats fame on the Food network tho...
That is a compliment, BTW - j |

I woke up (after not sleeping very well) feeling achy (again) which made me kind of a party pooper. Thanks for the cheer-up. :D |

He does kinda make you hungry, huh? :p :D Watch out - he'll sick his wife on ya :D Cheri - I never did get through to a person, but amidst all the propaganda and Spanish I heard something about finding out how much I owe and how to pay by check - don't trust electronic payments. Only problem, I can't read the numbers on my check, and my fingers shake too much to punch in any numbers. Whenever I try to take my time and do it properly, they cut me off and say they don't know what I'm talking about....click. Joiks! The noive of some people. :p |
kathy -
I pay my electric on their website - Does your electric have a site you can access? - you might be able to just put in the check numbers there or use a card - that's how the PGE site is set up. I wish there were transporters like on Star Trek - so if you had to go somewhere far away- you just pop into a transporter and poof you are there and could be poof -back home at nite:D |
Here you go
:rocket: |
As much as I'd like to pay this bill by computer, I don't trust them. They look like slot machines, and I don't want to gamble what little money I have on my breathing. :o
I call my husband at work, but he's busy. His boss is pretty ticked that he has to leave a message for my husband, because my husband is busy getting yelled at by customers who want a working phone line for their business. My husband gets the message. Now he has to tell his boss he has to take some time off work to help me make a phone call. Boss is pretty ticked. I'm sure the customer is too. They all think he's a lazy Mexican. I just wanted to know if he'd be in the area so he could stop by and punch out these numbers for me. I figured out the rest by myself. :o This ALL could have been avoided if I didn't have to EAT a menu before asking for some AIR. Used to be able to pick up the phone and talk to someone - guess they're too busy with their families, huh? This ALL could have been avoided if we didn't have to sift through mountains of junk mail in order to find our bills. Everyone wants a piece of us these days, huh? |
If the electric and phone co. are large they should have a place on the website to request email notices of your bills - select that option- I get the email notices and the paper bill too.
Verizon and PGE both have that option. I just signed up for our auto ins notices on the state farm website too. I can also call our local SF office and pay ins bills by voice over the phone since we have been with them for 25 yrs. As for the junk mail I toss/burn it right away:D only save the important stuff. |
Wow - Santa IS good! :)
My knight in shining metal swooped by and picked up a check from me, and dropped it off at the appropriate place. Then, like a flash, he was gone - leaving me only with a breeze to remember him by. Sniff....he needs a shower  wait, maybe that's me. :p Oh well. Problem solved for this little piggy. :D Thanks, guys, for sweatin' it out with me - you too, Santa. |
