Default Post edit - How long before change occurs?

I sent in an edit yesterday but today it is still the same. I'm wondering how long it usually takes.

Please note that I'm not criticizing the time frame as I know this is a busy and wonderfully supportive site.

I'm really just wondering about the timeline for the change.

hi Kim

your posts are immediately editable for 24hrs after you initially make the post, so if you tried to edit in that time frame it should have instantly gone through. If it was after 24hrs then the post is no longer self editable and needs to be edited for you by a mod or admin

if there is something you would like for me to edit for you, and you are not able to, just PM me the link to the post and the part you want edited and I will take care of that for you

Cheri

Thanks Chemar. Actually, I had edited it and sent that through to the mods. as the computer directed me to. I'm wondering if there's a glitch in the system since it's obviously not made its way there yet.

I'll send it to you asap.

Thanks bunches!

ok Kim, got your PM and edit is done

as it was a year old post, that would not have been self editable, yet we sure didnt get any edit request that I am aware of , and as far as I know this isnt automated...members have to personally PM us with edits required past the 24hr window

I will ask DocJohn to test to see what happens so we can correct any confusing messages

hope your edit is a-ok now...have saved the original post if needed

Also if it is sent to a mod that hasn't been online yet for the day...
possibly time zone differences could play a part too.

it seems it was an automated message in the software, so I will check with DocJohn to see if it went to a central "editing" mailbox here that we may not be aware of, or have access to yet. Thanks for alerting us to that Kim
