And, as should be evident--

--in comparing these two instances, context is everything.

Of course, one person's acceptable content is another person's unacceptable content. Personally, beyond the "self-policing" aspects that KimmyDawn mentions, I much prefer to err on the side of content inclusiveness.

That's a good point and thank you for reminding me that I wanted to state that I'm working on getting clarification for the terms used in the TOU and the applicable guideline (i.e. sexual oriented, obscene, vulgar and profane).

I think that so much of this issue does come down to personal preference, what one considers acceptable, or many other things that form our opinions of this discussion. Because of that, clarification and understanding of those terms in relation to the expectations of discussion for this site is needed.

Thanks!

KD

Sexual discussion is fine in context. If people with sexual disorders are discussing said sexual disorders, that's fine. If people are having a frank discussion about difficulty with sexual performance in a thread so-labeled, that's fine. If people are turning an otherwise serious thread into one big sexual innuendo, that's not fine. The key here is context.

Sexual content is fine when it's related to a health issue or some other issue covered by this community. But when you have a choice about being explicit or subtle, I might suggest it will sit better if a person is more subtle in their descriptions and such.

We're all adults here. As long as the thread is labeled as talking about sex, that will allow others to avoid the thread if they are easily upset by such discussions. (Which is a good reminder, too, for ensuring you pick subject lines that mean something, and don't take other people's threads into different topic areas they never intended...)

Rocking, Kim and Doc

Thank you sll so much for dealing with things in a personal and professional manner and asking that issues be brought to you attention personally before a judgement is made regarding whether it may be appropriate. That is the kind of thing that should be standard operating procedure in any forum such as this.

Thanks again for all you do
Mister
