Default Love the New Look

I got the black and gold and it looks great!! Very easy on the eyes, mine anyhow! And if I get tired of it I can change each week!!

It's been ing here for two days now...yard is 6" deep in water, makes it very hard to get the mail or even get to the vehicle.

I like the fact that we have different colors available for viewing the forums now. However, on some of the settings, I had trouble figuring out which threads had new posts as the NEW post looked so similar to the no new posts.

Default Problems with Smart Brown

I just wanted ask a question about the color scheme "Smart Brown"

On my computer and for this color scheme ONLY, when I open a forum or anything other than the main index, I get the red X in the white box with the word Reload this Page where the little icons for the folders usually show up.

Please see attachment.

Default Font Color

It seems to me that font color selections is going to have to be considered more carefully as it will be seen against a wide variety of backgrounds. What looks good on a black background such as CrystalSword is using looks like this on Smart Brown.

Don't get me wrong, I like the new schemes.

Default Cataracts!

The fonts/print are all too pale for me. I thought I had suddenly developed catatacts overnight and was wiping my glasses until I saw the message that some changes had been made - lol!

I will try and change the default altho' no luck so far!

Hi Megan
LOL I think we all thought we were seein' things at first

there are TWO ways to change your default 'skin':

**one is to scroll down and go to the very bottom left of the MAIN FORUM INDEX page http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/index.php
where you will see a box with a drop down arrow. It will likely show the word 'Default'
If you click the arrow it will open up the menu of theme choices.
The old blue theme is titled 'Default Blue' and there are a number of others to choose from too. Just click on any of those till you find the skin you like best and it will stay that way for you unless you decide to change it again

**the second way to do this is to go into your USER CP, which is on the top left of all pages.
Once in their choose the EDIT OPTIONS from the left side menu and once you have clicked that, go to the very bottom of the page where you can choose the skin, again via a drop down menu

ps also see Doc's Announcement that explains why this is best done from the forum index page
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/announcement88.html

hope that helps.
let us know if you are still having a problem

Cheri

The red X should be fixed next time to you reload a page in Smart Brown.

Just to clarify, these are *not* new themes. The only new theme is the default cyan colored theme.

Thanks for catching these issues, though... good for others to keep in mind!

As the directions in the New Style announcement read, you should only try changing themes from the forum's home page (the main index or list of forums). It won't work in every theme on other pages...

Thanks,
DocJohn

I like the new default. Reminds me of Doc's Psychcentral.org look and I've always liked that the way that site presents itself.

Thanks Doc for all your behind the scenes work!!!
