No Luck with larger font

Hi i was looking forward to posting here , but all of your suggestions are just not working for me, and i am sure I speak for others.
Why does the Font sizes arrow on top of this box NOT work????
I think that is where tech support needs to help us.
I have been to all my email settings, fonts, browser text size increaser, etc.
Sorry, no time or energy for this.
Please have your tech people make the control panel on top of this text box change the size instead of giving us some unintelligible box, that means nothing to me.
ps. i had to have DH type this for me.
JOE1
bYE 4 NOW ANYWAY.

Joe ,
so when you click the font size arrow nothing happens?

Do any of the other arrows do anything ?
they should show a drop down list of options when you click them?

The steps I use to make message text larger -

1- I usually type my message first.

2- Then I select & highlight the words or sentences I want to make larger.

3- Then I click the Size button and select the size I want the text to be.

4- I go below to the Preview Message button and click that to see if it looks OK.

5- Then I click the Submit button.

Let me know and we can help figure this out for you.

they are all functioning for me.

Are the Fonts, Size, Color and other formatting tools working properly for everyone?

And the drop down list is showing the options for you choose from in each section?

Another option that might help you is to Click on your User CP area {up above on the left}

Then click Edit Options and go down to the bottom of the page to the
Miscellaneous Options section.

There is a box that says -
Message Editor Interface
When posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.

Try the Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG editing
and see if that works better for you.

and at the very bottom be sure to click the Save Changes button.

Working just fine

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful if Joe1 uses the WYSIWYG interface instead of the default. I think the HTML tags might be frustrating and font stays small until it is previewed or posted.

Just a thought. :)

LOL...

Great minds think alike :D

I added the formatting info to the Computer & Technology Forum in the sticky with the Theme/skin info.

I tried ctr + scroll, which works on other forums, and that didn't work. I tried changing it on my browser - but that's only for email and chat rooms,is what my thing says, and that didn't help either.

The font is just too small.

I can change it when I write. But that is not going to help me see what i'm writing or what anything else says, lol.

Thanks anyway.

:o

Hi Brain,
Which browser do you use?
I think IE6 & 7 only let you adjust one generic font size.

Firefox has a setting for 4 fonts & sizes on the advanced button and a minimum size setting too. here's a screen shot of it.
