Thanks for pointing this out -- and thanks for making it available.

My eyes just said: "ooh, aah" as the blue faded and the beige moved in. ;)

Nice change.

Hi Dottye, So nice to see you here. I haven't seen you in the MS forum, though. Where do you post, the most.:)

Ya know, I think I've changed my mind. I have been using the chestnut this evening and so far I like it. It is bright but so is the blue. I may go to my computer and darken my view a bit.

Thanks Doc.:)

I love the new color scheme. Of course, I always enjoy change. I could never afford to redecorate, so my only avenue of change was to move the furniture. My poor hubby never knew what it would be like when he came home!! Oh, how magical is the computer, when you can change your color scheme, redecorate your desktop, etc, with the click of a mouse button! Ain't life wonderful!! :D
Hugs,

Hi, Sally, good to see you, too.

Usually I'm looking for help/hints in the Peripheral Neuropathy forum -- you're right, I don't often end up at the MS forum on this board.

Just force of habit, I guess. ;O)

I think it is very interesting

how people are perceiving the new skin.

I don't see "brown"... I see a lavender tan side panels (I too have the narrow
format) with gray/light blue/lavender inside colors.

I think this is because of some monitors and how they are set up. I have
a high resolution flat screen, for graphics, so I see color, not brown. Some readers here might try adjusting their monitor settings.

I really like the white text areas. I always disliked the toned ones on
the default. I wear trifocals and I can see better against the white
background.

I really like the tones used on this skin, the Chestnut. They are calming and
elegant. And it is also good, that a choice is available. So folks have
the ability to choose their own comfort levels.

I wonder if other skins could be made available too. And will the regular blue one we have be the default to people who stop by?

Hugs.

((Lois)) LOL you sound like my mom. You never know when you go there how it will look next. Changes her furniture around constantly

I have an EzBoard where I try to entertain my people with new themes now and again. Freshen the place up with a new 'coat of paint'.

Wow...just wanted to say I switched to the tan...so much more calm...I love it!

It's my understanding that the "default style" blue is the default color for the vBulletin software itself.

So I think that when there are choices available, the "default style" will always be called the default because it is the name the software folks have given to the color scheme.
While that is true, an admin/owner can make OTHER skins the actual default for their forum. So while the standard BLUE skin that comes out of the package with vb is always called the default style, it's not always the default skin that people log into. For example, my forum has a primary called The Blues...and in my admin panel, I told it to use that for everyone who loads the *default* skin. However, I also have the Default Style listed in there and it's the one vb made for me.

Mine is also a high resolution flat screen with the graphics adjusted for the light in the room...since I work on graphics, I have to have them as true as possible and mine is a light tan on the sides with a slightly darker tan in the message section along with white. Actually, the side panels are EAE8D3 according to PIXIE . That's the HTML code for the color. Liz
