There are more specific limitations on what size photos you can upload to your vB Album versus the photo gallery here. Try uploading a small photo (say, less than 200px x 200px and 30k in dimensions and size) and seeing if that works. If it does, the problem you're experiencing is likely related to the photo's size.

If it still doesn't, then I'll have to look into things further.

I tried adding pictures to a new album today (one in my profile) and it didn't matter what size the file was. All I get is text, similar to Koala's problem. When I click on the test the photo appears, but that's the only way you can view the photos.

I've tried making the photos 200x200 all the way up to 1000 x 975. No luck. I've tried .jpg and bitmap. neither does any good.

And I can only load one at a time, not 3, like the text box allows. I get an error message when trying to do 3.

Thanks for your help Doc!

I made all mine smaller and some photos have made it through although they actually do look small, and others were refused as invalid.

I took all the photos using the same camera, and resized them all to the exact same measurements.

When I have more time, I will try again..... one more time......

I am too tired to deal with it anymore tonight. The last one I uploaded was 200x200. That's the one I made the cover for the album and it didn't show. I give up. Whatever....:(

After working in all this heat this week to get this landscape job done, uploading pictures is the least of my worries!

what does your upload page say now for requirements??
mine says this-
[Pictures Remaining 487
Maximum File Size per Picture 9.54 MB
Maximum Picture Dimensions 1,800 by 1,800 Pixels]

they are uploading for me but with text instead of thumbnail size - but the photo size is pretty large when I click on the text.

Same thing.

This morning I tried to attach a very small photo to a post and I kept getting invalid file error message.

Yes, I cleared my cache, I cleared everything. I tried all the tips that have been posted earlier, nothing worked. It's a .jpg file 100x100, 22k, and I cannot find any reason why I get the invalid file error message when trying to attach it to a post in a thread.

Ditto here. Seems like the photo gremlin is back. I've adjusted sizes, etc and still get an "invalid photo" error. Both for the albulm and for posting.

hopefully Doc will be able to get a fix on it when next he is on
