Hoot-hoot! Talk about perfect timing! Midnight is just the time when us ol' night owls are stirring about...

During the last good meteor shower I saw with my kiddos, we counted over a hundred and fifty of the suckers. We have a second-story sundeck on our house that's just perfect for this. Thanks for the heads-up, Alffe!

Dang it looks like the eastern U.S. will see the best parts of it. I'll still be out there trying to see it.

I'm a night owl on the East coast, and I live in a rural area with few outdoor lights, so the sky is easy to see

I plan on playing with the video recording options on my digital camera to see if I can catch a falling star

If I get any good video, I will certainly share it.

Thanks Wittesea! I live in a rural area too and am a nightowl- we're supposed to have clear skies for Sat. night so I'll be out there looking. My son and I used to always go outside and put out lounge chairs and watch the meteors- wish he still lived at home so we could do that again!

It's very cloudy here, so no chance of seeing it but I bet it's going to be beautiful!

Thanks for the reminder!

Here in Hong Kong you can see them stunningly, some years - but not at the moment; went up to the roof last night, cloudy skies and overcast today... but they're around a little while longer, I haven't given up hope...

good stargazing, all the best!
