Question no email notifications happening

I've checked my "Options" and it shows that I'm getting instant email notification but I don't actually get any notification.

Any clue what's going on?

you need to subscribe to threads or forums to get the email notifications for those.

if you want private message or visitor message/ friend request notifications you need to check those options in your user CP

those are the only email notifications I am aware of

It shows me subscribed to the threads... and yet, no notifications.

Karen, have you checked your email spam box in case NT emails are going there. Also have you checked that the email addy on file for you here is one that you still use?

the correct email address is there.

I use Thunderbird for my email, so there's no spam folder.

Karen,

Try going in to change you email. Even if it says the one you are using, put it in again. Then click Save Changes.

Most email, hotmail, yahoo, aol, msn, have spam settings. Email from NT may be blocked and not even going to a folder. There should be place to put addys that you allow.

Thunderbird email program does have a junk folder - {junk=spam}
if you go to -
tools, then options, then privacy tab
check your settings on those areas.
there is a show log button on that section too so you might click it and see what you find there.

[Cutting Out the Junk

Thunderbird's popular junk mail tools have been updated to stay ahead of spam. Each email you receive passes through Thunderbird's leading-edge junk mail filters. Each time you mark messages as spam, Thunderbird “learns” and improves its filtering so you can spend more time reading the mail that matters. Thunderbird can also use your mail provider's spam filters to keep junk mail out of your inbox.]
