Maybe both of you were at bad point in time and just happened to have a clash of viewpoints. Sometimes you just have to agree that you disagree on things.

There are some options-
PM and try to resolve any feelings off forum
ignore the persons words and move forward

We all need to try to not take words on any forum so personal, most of the time we really have no clue about the real person behind the words.

Yes, for sure.

The thing is that some things are so serious, and so deep, that they aren't entirely under control. Like Traumatic Shock... darn it, I can't remember the name of that.

But that's what happened to me. I read the threat and my body just reacted and now I'm still sick.

I'd certainly like to not be sick.

Some things are just so traumatic. And when they are caused by someone knowing better than you, only they were wrong, and then someone else comes along and insists they know best for you... it is traumatic.

Did you see the Al Gore film? An Inconvenient Truth?

In the first part there is a GREAT quote,

"What gets us into trouble is not what we know -- It's what we know for sure that just ain't so --"

Yes when you keep on being given grief when you have done nothing wrong.
That kind of nastiness makes you feel ill.
So of course forums like this can be dangerous.
