Default How come IMDB is always all in caps?

Hi, okay, here's a good one for you.

Whenever I go to IMDB and view any message boards, EVERYTHING IS IN CAPITAL LETTERS. I asked another poster why this was...and he said:

"Check your browser settings"

Now because I have no idea what he is talking about, some help would be appreciated. Whenever I post something on IMDB, I type in regular lower case and use capitals only at the beginning of a sentence. Doesn't matter. On my screen, everything comes out in caps.

I have Mozilla Firefox. So if anyone knows how I can get to view postings the way they are regularly typed, I'd appreciate it.

thanks much

Melody

I checked it using FF and it looks normal to me.

I would try clearing your cache & cookies -? and refreshing the page to see if that makes a difference.

Did you remove the IMDB cookies too?
those might be what is keeping that setting in memory.

did you try to go there with IE to see if it does the same thing?

I registered there to check it & it still is normal for me.

Did this change just happen?

I do think it is something with your FF settings or the cookies on your computer. It the remove cookies don't make a difference...
Only other thing might be to download another browser like Flock or Opera {flock is most like FF}

I didn't see any settings on the IMDB site for test/display options..
So I'm at a loss as to what else to suggest.

Well, I found the answer!!!

I went to a message board titled "I need o know" which is supposedly about movies, film and tv and I just posted my problem.

Would you believe I got an answer right away. The guy told me to go up to tools, go to internet options, go to fonts, select Times New roman, change the size (I changed it to 12 I thing), then he said to choose Latin base as the language. It did not give me that option. Maybe his Firefox is different than my Firefox.

Anyway, as soon as I clicked on OK, all my caps went away.

Life is good once again!!!

Thanks much for trying to help me.

Melody

P.S. Remember my kitchen phone that would not work. guess what? I plugged an older phone (non Caller ID), and now it works just fine.

What the heck is going on. I used my Caller ID phone on that wall jack for YEARS. No problem.

And the caller ID phones work just fine in the other rooms. I thought it was the dsl filter that I could not remove. I thought the line was dead.

Not so. I have an old Conair phone on there now and it works fine.

I'd LOVE to find out why this happened.
