Default Powerpoint Viewer.

I tried to DL PPV and it downloads ok and is added to my programs, but when I try to view and PP E-mail, I get an error message that says that I don't have a program file. What do I do to get PPViewer to work.

Help ZS, Dorry, Anyone.

Thanks.

Oh, I have WinXP

hi sally,

so what you have is different from powerpoint that comes with MS office?

I opened mine up {PP - came w/office98} and went to the help section- but i don't know if that will be any help for you.
If you can give me a specific to look up in the help section -maybe that will work best.

Do you have actual powerpoint program already ?
maybe you need the PP for the PPV to work?

My {PPV} is in with the MS office -PP program.

the ext. of a file is .txt , .bmp, .doc, .jpeg, .exe

I think ZS was asking the ext. of the file you are trying to open?

let me know if you are still having a problem with it.

The whole thing is a mystery to me Jo.

I found out that I can save the PP e-mail to a file and bring it up that way, but I can't just open the attachment from outlook express. Grrrr. On my old computer, I could, but this one has SP2, so maybe that's the diff.

Thanks for your help Jo, and where did ZS disappear to? I thought this was his home away from home.

ZS had posted, on a forum (and forgive me for not remembering exactly where) that he'd be away a couple of days; he's helping a relative move. He didn't "disappear" on us .

Noticed this thread and have had some problems with my computer so thought i'd stop in. A friend sent me Pp Viewer. I have this bookmarked. It is from Office. I do not have Power Point in that I can make Power Point slide shows etc. I can however view pages that need it to be visible. This is where you prob can download it. I do not use PP email and didn't know it existed. I'd love to have all the info back from the other site. Lots on there are my words. This is the website I mentioned. Tattoo2

Thanks Tattoo, I did DL PPV and I do have PPoffice installed on my PC. Outlook Ex doesn't have anything to do with PP, but I will get an occasional PPPresentation in an E-Mail and I can't DL it in outlook express. Don't know why, but I thought perhaps some of you PC gurus, could tell me.

If I save the attachment to a file, then I can DL it from there....Just a PITA, but I'll survive.

Thanks all for trying to help.

How did the moving go, ZS?
