I'm sure someone has told us how to but I can't locate it. I've used "Dusting Air" on this keyboard but it does nothing for sticky keys...How do I clean them?

are you talking about UNDER the keys? I don't think you can fix that, I don't think they come off etc. Jo would know for sure tho.
But my husband smokes a pipe and sometimes he drops a flake of tobacco over the laptop keyboard. When I used his old laptop on vacation 3 keys started to stick. What I did to correct it was to tip the bottom to the side or front and gently tap the back... the offending thing did move finally to an edge and the sticking stopped. (Don't hit it hard, just tap). This might dislodge the bit which is under there. If it is due to some liquid you spilled or something really awful, this might not work. You can plug in a secondary keyboard and use that if the tapping doesn't work. There are some very inexpensive keyboards out there so it shouldn't cost too much. Under $10 sometimes! Good luck!

Sorry my monitor croaked on me yesterday so I wasn't able to post his til now.
The keys do come off to clean under them. You can also look on the manufactures website for specific directions on cleaning - they should have that information. how to clean laptop keyboards - http://www.google.com/search?q=Stick...ient=firefox-a

most laptop keys do pop off for cleaning. ![]() desktop keyboards {unplugged of course ![]() I've rinsed 3 different brands of keyboards under warm water over the years - just let them dry out completely before plugging them back in. I do keep a spare keyboard and a spare mouse around just for this reason. Sometimes you can find decent spares at thrift or Goodwill stores. A few weeks ago cat had spilled coffee w/sugar & cream all over my optical mouse - so rinsed & let dry for a few days & works fine.

After you've cleaned out and about ... those handy disinfect
wipe cloths ... works - I keep my keyboard and mouse clean. PS: In case if you didn't know this, if you have an optic mouse, it can actually work better if you dabbed a little car wax on bottom of mouse (oh what the heck, wax your whole mouse - LOL) - and then wipe it with a soft cloth without letting the car wax get dry at all. Not only will it glide smoothly; it also makes it easier to keep clean as well. Does it work on keyboard? Depends on your patience - if you can afford cheap cotton swabs, work a small section at a time (laptops/ notebooks/Wi-Fi are often crammed together which makes it easier, and you can wax it all except the LCD,HD LCD, HDMI screen and stay away from the speakers and Web-Cam if you know where it is. It will look new and act as a protective "cover". IT DOES PAY to make it a habit of keeping a nice wash-cloth nearby the computer just for that sole purpose as well as a soft cloth (to prevent damages) in case of spills. How to respond in an emergency? If spilled on the keyboard? Pull out the washcloth and immediately tip over the keyboard upside down and shut down the computer or log off ... so you can clean up your mess. Tapping the keyboard at least once a month (upside down) on a newspaper will get dust bunnies and things you didn't know that was in there. ![]() PS: Don't forget to clean your computer tower too - fans collect dust, and always make sure you unplug it and if you don't know how, get your kids to do it or someone else to do it - for it puts a tremendous stress on your computer if it isn't clean, especially in the cooling system and motherboard as well as components. I do mine 5-6 times a year; for I keep mine that sparkly clean!

You can get the ones specifically for cleaning keyboards, phones etc. Or a dampened microfibre cloth.

Well, Alffe....
Did you do it yet? I'd like an update, on how difficult it is, etc, time consuming? From what I read in some of the links I found using Jo's search, it seemed very complicated, and picky-une! If my tapping still works, I'll continue with that for now. Sounds like one would need a magnifying glass and special light etc...that type of "close work" can drive me batty sometimes!

Thanks for all the tips...I tried the wipes and finally "screwed my courage to the sticking point"...no pun intended and popped off, first the M, it's clean as a whistle now, then the L, same result, but the K...didn't come alone..that little round point thing flew off too but I found it before Cassie (our dog) did and it went back together just fine.
