Default Computer crash

Yesterday I was watching a movie and the fan on my computer came on, and I suddenly had no computer at all. I spent hour on hold on the phone waiting for a computer specialist. Today after fighting with the cord in the back it rebooted itself back in time to jan 1, 2003.
