Default They replaced my DVD Player

With a completely different model. It's a COBY 224. I had never hooked up one of those so I read the manual and put the red white and yellow things into the things on the front of my tv. Then I took the other end and there is where I had a problem.

There were too many places to choose to put in the red, yellow and white things.

So I looked at the manual, followed the graphics and put it where it was supposed to be. I did red into red, white into white, but the yellow end, well, in the manual it went to the right. So I did all the connections the way it indicated and IT DID NOT WORK. Got audio, but no picture.

So I unplugged everything, went to my local Blockbuster and announced to two young men. "I hope you guys can help me, I want to join Blockbuster and I got this new DVD player but I think I might be wrong in my connections"

What do you think they did? The guy took my DVD player and as my attention was on the other guy, the guy with the dvd player unplugged all my connections and replugged them and announced to me "you had the red in the yellow" And I said "Do you think I can't tell red from yellow, of course I had the red into red and the white into white, and he goes "no you didn't" He lied.

I then left and went to my computer guy who said "This is wrong, and he re-plugged everything exactly as I did previously"

I then went home, hooked it up AND IT WORKED!!!

I was so happy to put in my Avatar dvd and it popped up just fine. I'll watch it at a later date but oh my, I now have a dvd player. I know, it's late in life to be able to learn to use these things, but at least I am trying.

And shame on those Blockbuster guys for goofing on me. How would they like it if this was done on their own mother?

Melody
