Melody, back in early June you wrote that you had 2 computer crashes in the one day... the blue screen. Do you recall that? Did you end up having to send the computer to the shop or something? I'm wondering if someone made changes back then?

Oh, I'll get around to doing that. Right now it's hitting over 90 and we are headed to 105 by Friday.

I am just concerned about not melting. I built another home made a/c. Did I show you the one that I built? If not, I'll send you the link.

You can go on youtube and type in Red Neck Air Conditioner and mine is exactly the same. I learned how to do this by watching youtube videos.

I don't have a/c in my house and all I care about is when I go to sleep and this thing works great.

My electric bill wont' kill me at the end of the month.

lol

So I'll let you know if I ever get my printer up and going.

thanks very much

Melody

Nope, I never brought it back to anybody. I don't trust anyone any more. When this thing dies, I'll get a laptop.

Right now, it gets me where I need to be getting and that's enough. We have a heat wave in Brooklyn. I'm sitting by my computer with my fan and I'm just fine.

But if it heads up to 105 like they are saying, I'll be a cooked goose!!

lol

computers can overheat too, if it starts acting weird best to shut it off - or it may just shut itself off if it gets too hot.

Lightbulb

We open the CD drive and point a nice fan right at the tower.
This cools it off very quickly.

We don't have A/c and when it is hot like this, I only go online for a hour or so. The fan is always on it.

Running antivirus, and various other scans really heat it up! Keep that in mind and do them later at night when cooler.

Sorry to hear about the heat there, Melody. It's bad enough here in summer but I'm right on the sea. Must be stifling there in the big city.
Keep your fluid intake up. (Just don't spill any on the computer )

Would you believe it that I had to come in the house because it just got chilly on my friend's porch. It must have dropped 20 degrees in one hour. It's nice and breezy but they say FRIDAY is going to be a killer.

Tomorrow we go into NYC for the Neuropathy Support Group.

will update on the Neuropathy forum.

And what a great idea Mrs. D about pointing the fan at the cd rom drive. I will do just that.
