Default How do you turn off a Dell Monitor

HI.

My landlord's daughter just left for Italy. She did not turn off her computer (it's a Dell Desktop) with a Dell Monitor.

The husband just rang my bell asking me to shut off the computer. They have Windows 7 by the way.

so I went into their house and the wife said "I think I shut it off, I called my other daughter and she said to press the power switch and the light went out"

I then said "okay, you did indeed shut it off".

Then I shut off the speakers. Then I looked at the monitor and the orange light was on.

Not green, but orange. That's some power saving thing right?

I tried pressing it but nothing happened.

The daughter is gone for one month.

Can we leave it this way?

Just want to make sure.

Thanks much

Melody
