Default Pop up ads ?

I am technically challenged...I just got a new computer and I need to know how to stop the pop up ads...they are driving me crazy..well, crazier. Thanks for any help I can get.

Are you using the windows IE browser?
Many prefer Firefox - it seems so much faster loading pages for me than IE.

I thought most of the web browsers have pop ups blocked by default...but I'll look up the settings for IE and post them so you can double check your settings.

You can also download Adblock Plus to try to catch the ads that slip through.
Not all can be blocked though as they are getting smarter!

Sorry to pop this up, but you may want to check if you have a malware on your computer causing the popups.
You can check malwarebytes it is free and good.

If not then you may need to know that popups ads are a way for some sites to get revenue and the ad companies serving these try their best to bypass ad blockers. However a good adblocker is adblock but it may also block other things.
